6 drug suspects arrested in Mandaue

SIX suspected drug pushers, including a senior citizen, were arrested in separate police operations in Mandaue City.

Clarie Ceniza, 60, of Sitio Dela Paz, Barangay Looc, Mandaue City was caught selling illegal drugs worth P200 to police poseur-buyer last Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Insp. Genilo Veraque, Station Commander of Opao Police Station, said Ceniza was also arrested last year in a drug operation by PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) agents but was able to post bail.

Three other drug suspects were later arrested in another drug operation in the evening in Catalino Street of the same barangay.

Police operatives arrested Resty Sardoncillo, Barry Flores and Mario Atillo, all of legal age and residents of Sitio Baybayon, Barangay Looc after allegedly selling illegal drugs believed to be shabu to a police poseur-buyer. Police recovered from the suspects three small sachets of alleged shabu.

In another operation, police also arrested one James Perez, 28, of Catalino Street, Barangay Looc after they received information from a caller that Perez was a drug pusher.

Policemen led by PO3 Bryan Berenguer confiscated from Perez’s possession a small sachet of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

In Barangay Cubacub, a certain Johnsen Abapo, 26, was also arrested in a buy-bust operation led by Chief Insp. Aldrin Villacampa, Station Commander of Canduman Police Station, on Tuesday afternoon.

Villacampa said Abapo had already surrendered to the police but returned to selling drugs. Abapo allegedly yielded three small sachets of suspected shabu and two P500 bills as buybust money.
