A 22-year-old woman was arrested by police for allegedly selling illegal drugs in Barangay Suba, Cebu City.
Angel Ledesma allegedly sold shabu to a poseur buyer during a buy-bust operation conducted by the police past 11 p.m. on Friday.
Recovered from her possession were 80 grams of shabu worth P1.2 million, said Senior Supt. Joel Doria, director of the Cebu City Police Office.
Charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Ledesma before the Cebu City Prosecutors’ Office on Monday.
Ledesma is currently detained at the Taboan Police Station detention cell.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Cebu City (PDEA-7) arrested on Friday 66-year-old Liliosa Geralao for allegedly maintaining a drug den in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City.
During a surveillance operation, drug users were seen sniffing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), inside Geralao’s residence, which is located right beside the home of Jaguar Diaz in Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City, said PDEA-7 spokesperson Leia Albiar.
Aside from Geralao, also arrested were Ronna Auditor Aying, 20; Arnold Sespino Baron, 43; Jose Neisil Larisma, 42; Raffy Declaro Jacaban, 26; Alison Tolomia Balaba, 55; Jesse Nepomuceno Gujilde, 37; Jaime Rosell Tahanlangit, 36; Carlito Cinco Dungog, 47; and Freniel Muñoz Mapano, 43.
Thirteen packs of shabu weighing 60 grams with an estimated street value of P192,000 were seized.
