“We are trained to start attending to our responsibilities after graduation instead of living a luxurious life.”
This was according to Christy Canoy Paypa, a daughter of a poor family and a scholar from high school to college.
She said luxuries would just come in God’s time as long as one would remain focused on his/her professional obligations.
Paypa, a Taiheiyo scholar, was hired by her benefactor right after she graduated Management Accounting from the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) in March 2016. Her fellow scholars, Karen Dave Mamugay and Gabriel Canque, were also hired by Taiheiyo a month after they graduated Management Accounting and Mechanical Engineering respectively.
But despite having landed a job, Paypa wanted to go back to school again and take up Law. But, she must first attend to her present obligations as an employee of her patron of eight years as a scholar.
Paypa now works as contracts and legal documents management staff, Mamugay as customer service attendant and Gabriel as plant mechanic, said Human Resource head Ester P. Cola.
The three joined fellow scholars Gina Embolode and Reyvin Dorig, who were hired by TCPI in 2014 after they graduated Management Accounting and Computer Engineering respectively.
The other five scholars are now working in other companies. Three of them have become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).
They are Jeramel L. Geralde, Geraldine P. Gorre and Rutchiel Mae G. Geraldizo. The other two are management accountants Donalyn A. Tambacan and Vincent Nie Villarin. /p
