Cebu City owes P57M to trader

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said the Supreme Court ordered the city government to pay P57 million to businessman Roque Ting who claimed that his private lot was affected by the South Reclamation Project several years back.

He said the amount has already ballooned due to the insistence of former mayor Michael Rama and councilor Joy Pesquera that the city should not push through with an off-court settlement of P13 million during his term.
