Boy found dead inside home

A 10-year-old boy was found dead hanging inside their house in Barangay Prenza, Balamban town, southwest Cebu around 7 p.m. last Thursday.

PO1 Mansueto Clarin said that Mark (real name withheld for being a minor), a grade five student of Balamban Central School, was instructed by his mother to wash the plates as she was going to the town proper along with his brother to buy groceries around 3 p.m.

However, when they returned, Mark was already hanging with a nylon rope tied around his neck. The mother believed that Mark felt sad that he was left alone in the house. The boy was immediately brought to Balamban District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by attending physician.
