AMERICAN alternative rock group Goo Goo Dolls is set to rock Manila next year.
Concert producer Random Minds announced the band’s concert last Monday. Two days after, the dates and venues were revealed.
The concert will be held on February 11, 8 p.m. at Araneta Coliseum.
Fans of Goo Goo Dolls rejoiced over the announcement. The alternative rock band recently released its new album this year entitled “Boxes” with songs such as “So Alive” and “Over and Over.”
Composed of vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik, vocalist and bassist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska, the band was formed in 1986 with hit songs “Here is Gone,” “Slide” and among others.
Their hit song “Iris” was nominated as Grammy Song of the Year and was used as the official soundtrack of the 1998 film “City of Angels.” Their other hits, “A Boy Named Goo” and “All That You Are,” also became part of soundtrack of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
