The annual Kasadya will still be held at the South Road Properties (SRP) in December this year with the city government expecting to earn P2.6 million in amusement taxes for the event.
Acting Cebu City Administrator Jovy Morellos said the Kasadya, which began in 2011, will start in December and end in February next year.
“It will be the same as the previous years. There will be carnivals, there will be selling of firecrackers and food strips,” Morellos said. She added that the city bidded out the rental spaces for the Kasadya sa SRP.
She said the city government and the winning bidder agreed that the city will earn a minimum of P2.6 million in amusement taxes, and the revenue could get higher.
“So the city maka-earn, mahug guaranteed P2.6 million duration sa December to February (The city will earn P2.6 million guaranteed for the duration of December to February),” she said.
