Pink Run organizers eye yearly affair

ORGANIZERS of the 10th Pink Run of the Society of General Surgeons-Cebu and Eastern Visayas Chapter (PSGS-CEV) were delighted with the success of their running event yesterday.

Dr. Peter Mancao, a member of the organizing team, said he was very happy with the turnout of the event, which attracted 800 runners. The race was part of the Pink October Month celebration for breast cancer awareness.

With the success, organizers are looking to hold this running event yearly.

“We saw how the participants’ fulfillment after they crossed the finish line and it makes us want to continue this running event every year,” Mancao said. “This running event just proves that running is still very alive in Cebu because I’ve seen a lot of regular runners who took part of this and some of them have just got off from their shift last night so we are very encouraged to keep on organizing running events like this.”

The running event was supported by the Icanserve Foundation and the Rotary Club of Cebu 3860.
