THE Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) management has started implementing yesterday the No ID, No Entry rule for drivers, conductors dispatchers, porters and ambulant vendors.

Joey Herrera, CSBT chief, said identification cards were already issued to the concerned individuals.

Herrera said the move seeks to tighten security in the terminal following incidents of theft inside the CSBT.

“Kini atong gihimo para lang g’yud makaila mi kinsa na mga tawhana nga naa diha sa terminal gawas sa mga pasahero (This is to ensure we will be able to identify those people inside the terminal aside from the passengers),” Herrera said.

He said CSBT security management head Jonathan Tumulak suggested to implement the rule at the bus terminal after the theft incidents became rampant that thieves even entered the guard house and stole the things inside.

Herrera said that the dispatchers, ambulant vendors and porters who do not have any uniform or ID will not be allowed inside the terminal.

Bus drivers and conductors who don’t wear their IDs will not be allowed to roam around the terminal, but only stay inside their buses, said Herrera.

Herrera added that they already had a meeting with the bus operators about the policy and they all agreed.
