AFTER a long wait, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are now officially married.
Well, it may just be part of the Kalyeserye storyline but fans attest that the emotions as the two
delivered their vows at their wedding during Eat Bulaga’s episode yesterday were raw and real.
In their wedding vows, Kalyeserye darlings Alden and Maine reminisced the beginning of their love story—from the time they saw each other’s faces for the first time via split screen, the exchange of Dubsmashes, and when the “Tamang Panahon” arrived for them to meet, and eventually fall in love.
At this point, Alden’s voice started to crack and he got teary-eyed.
He continued, “Gusto kong malaman mo, Maine, na nagpapasalamat ako dahil nakilala kita.
When it was Maine’s turn, she wasn’t able to read her copy right away because of her veil, and said with a laugh: “Hindi ko mabasa.”
Alden then helped her fix her veil and the paper on which she wrote her vows.
Gusto mong anuhin, gusto mong makita?”
Maine continued, “Mas marami pang oras at araw kitang makakasama.
The presiding priest then proclaimed them as a married couple. However, when they were about to kiss, Lola Nidora (played by Wally Bayola) fainted!
But when Lola Nidora recovered, the most awaited kiss happened as cheers erupted in the church.
Those who were not able to attend the event took to social media to do a Twitter party with the hashtag #ALDUBWedding. As of 6 p.m. last night, the hashtag had reached more than six million tweets.
