The University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) and University of San Carlos (USC) booked seats to the finals of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) men’s football tournament.
This after USPF and USC finished as the top two teams after the elimination round with the Panthers finishing with a 3-1-2 (win-loss-draw) record and the Warriors having a 2-2-3 slate. The Finals will be played on Nov. 13 at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
USPF ended its elimination round with a scoreless draw against the University of the Visayas (UV) yesterday at the CCSC while USC beat the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), 2-1.
USPF is looking to bag its first title in the tournament. It has made the finals five times. USC, meanwhile, has already won three titles.
