Four houses burned down in Talisay

A fire burned down four houses and damaged another in Sitio Luy-a, Barangay Lawaan Dos, Talisay City, Cebu at 10:08 am Tuesday.

The fire was put out 30 minutes later and originated from the home of elderly couple Sinfronso and Ceferina Velasco.

Senior Fire Officer Omar Andrew Segovia of the Talisay Fire Station said the couple’s 23-year-old son Noel Velasco had been smoking in the second floor of their home when the fire broke out.

SFO1 Segovia says the Talisay City Fire Station are still investigating whether the fire was intentionally started.
