Senior citizens in Cebu City are scheduled to receive their P1,000 financial assistance from the city government tomorrow, Thursday.
The distribution will still be done in the same venues during previous tranches within the barangays, said Leah Japson, head of the City Social Welfare and Services (DSWS) office.
Japson said private citizens were tapped to help facilitate the cash distribution to be done by authorized disbursing officers of City Hall. There are 67,300 seniors in the city.
The remaining P2,000 will be distribution in the remaining months of the year.
Persons with disabilities (PWDs) also received their P1,000 financial assistance from the city Wednesday.
