Fire, started by unplugged amplifier, razes house in Minglanilla

An unplugged amplifier was believed to have started an afternoon fire on Friday, which razed a house, in Sitio Danawan, Barangay Pakigne, Minglanilla town in southern Cebu.

FO3 Manolet Villarta of the Minglanilla Fire Station said that they were looking into electrical misuse as the cause of the fire after they learned about the unplugged amplifier.

According to investigation, Villarta said Ismael Silva, 66, and his wife, Florida, were relaxing outside their house when the fire started.

He said that the fire was reported at 3 p.m. and it was put out 12 minutes later.

Villarta estimated the damage to property at P30,000.
No one was hurt in the fire.
