THE Jaguars and the Panthers forged a four-way tie at the top after they chalked up separate wins in the Elite Basketball Club Cebu Season 7 last Sunday at the Visayan Glass Gym in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.
The Jaguars scored a 72-55 win over the Sharks, while the Panthers sneaked past the Falcons, 60-54.
The victors tied their victims’ slates at 5-2 (win-loss).
Lorenzo Bacaltos led the Jaguars with his 18 points. Joseph Salazar paced the Sharks with 23 markers.
Flashy point guard Neil Buot tallied 25 points for the Panthers and was backed up by Jullian Batiancela, who scattered 19.
Meanwhile, the Wolves survived the gritty Eagles, 69-66.
Jax Bautista powered the Wolves with 24 points while Jules Asignar and Ivan Espina contributed 21 apiece.
The Eagles were led by Apol Monteclar, Sarge Peña, Mpax Paquibot, and Yasser Magdara with 18, 17, 15, and 12, respectively.
