Drug bust leads to arrest of two teens

Two minors, a male and a female both 16 years old, were among five persons nabbed by the police when they busted a drug den in Sitio Rattan, Barangay Tangke in Talisay City yesterday.

The subject of the operation was identified as Jovannie Natalia, 20, who maintained a drug den inside his house, according to P01 Ramonito Dinampo of the Talisay City Police Office.

Dinampo said that aside from Natalia, they were also able to apprehend Bryan Badahos, 20, and Junrey Ragan, 24, both of whom are also residents of Sitio Rattan.

The two minors were found inside the house of Natalia during the raid, allegedly in the act of buying illegal drugs believed to be shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from Natalia.

The two teenagers, who are both from Barangay Cansuhong, also in Talisay City, were turned over to the custody of the Talisay City Social Welfare Office, said Dinampo.

Seized from the suspects were nine small sachets of powder suspected to be shabu.

Meanwhile, another suspected drug pusher was also arrested in Barangay Jubay, Lilo-an, in northern Cebu on Wednesday night.

Chief Insp. Franco Rodulf Oriol, Lilo-an police chief, identified the suspect as Nick Bryan Judaya, 27, of Barangay Catarman of the town.

He said Judaya was caught during a buy-bust operation with 11 small sachets of suspected shabu weighing .55 grams that was worth P6,400. Also recovered from Judaya was a .45 caliber pistol loaded with 3 bullets.

Oriol said that police learned of Judaya’s illegal drug trade operation from barangay officials in the area.
