IT LOOKS like the Kapuso network is adding another fantaserye remake to its weekday primetime line-up.
The hit series “Mulawin” is set to make a comeback, following the success of the remake of “Encantadia.”
Based on an Instagram post, GMA executives already have their eyes on an actor to play the lead role of Mulawin—Dennis Trillo. Dennis was part of the original cast. He played the role of Gabriel, part of the clan of the Ravenos, the enemies of the Mulawins.
A photo posted by Dennis’s talent manager Popoy Caritativo showed the two with GMA Drama executives Lilybeth Rasonable, Helen Rose Sese, Cheryl Ching-Sy, and writer RJ Nuevas.
The caption read: “Meeting para sa pinaka bagong primetime show! #Mulawin2017 #MulingPaglipad #DennisTrillo.”
The comeback of “Mulawin” was hinted after the role of Pagaspas reprised by Miguel Tanfelix made it to the sequel of Encantadia 2016.
This was followed by Alden Richards’ special appearance when he played the Mulawin named Lakan, who was not in the original Encantadia or Mulawin series.
