Lapu buy-bust operation yields three, close to P142K worth of shabu seized

Two high-profile drug pushers were arrested by the police in a drug operation in Sacred Heart Village, Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapy City past 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

Arnel Macabodbod, 29 and Lindo Bragat, 41, both residing within the village, were selling shabu to police poseur buyer when they were arrested by the team led by PSI Joey Bicoy of the City Intelligence Branch (CIB) of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.

Police recovered P126,968 worth of suspected shabu from the two men, P2,100 cash believed to be proceeds from their illegal operations and the P300 cash used in the buy-bust operation.

According to Bicoy, the operation on Macabodbod and Bragat was not planned.

Bicoy said Macabodbod and Bragat were arrested as a result of an earlier arrest of one of their cohorts Rommel Ramirez, 23, who is also a resident of the same village.

Bicoy’s team was conducting a buy-bust operation against Ramirez at around 6:30 this morning and seized from him P15,000 worth of shabu.

Bicoy said Ramirez told them where he gets his supply when he was interrogated.
Realizing it was in the same village, the team decided to conduct another buy-bust operation and caught Macabodbod and Bragat.
