Cebu City will host a Cebu Festive Lunch as part of the Miss Universe 2016 swimsuit presentation that will be held at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu on January 17.
Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said the city government will host the lunch but won’t use public funds for it.
“The city government won’t spend for the Festive Lunch but will ask for [the] private sector’s help,” Osmeña said.
According to JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu liaison officer Arthur Lo, the Cebu Festive Lunch will showcase Cebu’s famous cuisine to the candidates.
The lunch is part of the five ticketed events in Cebu as it hosts the swimsuit presentation of Miss Universe 2016 on January next year.
Other events set include a general assembly, a Gala dinner and an after party.
