Forty-nine couples showed up to say their “I dos” in a mass wedding in a church in San Remigio town in northern Cebu.
The mass wedding was organized by the municipal government of San Remigio as part of the celebration of the town’s 153rd founding anniversary this coming Monday.
San Remigio Mayor Mariano Martinez said that they were expecting 50 couples since these were the couples who applied for the free wedding sponsored by the municipal government and the San Juan Nepomuceno Parish Council.
However, only 49 couples showed up for the mass wedding.
