SECURITY remains high as thousands of visitors flocked to Lapu-Lapu City on the eve of their fiesta yesterday.
Some devotees of the Virgin of the Rule from Bohol province, like 68-year-old Saturnina Quimson, arrived in motorboats at Muelle Osmeña wharf yesterday morning.
Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Radaza said they reserved a docking area at the Muelle Osmeña wharf for the devotees from nearby cities and provinces.
Traffic was slow at both bridges, but there were no untoward incidents.
Last night’s coronation for Miss Lapu-Lapu was held at the auditorium, the same venue for tonight’s Matron, Prince and Princess coronation night.
