Arleigh Sitoy gets dying wish: cremation

The remains of the the late Provincial Board Member Arleigh Sitoy was cremated at the Cosmopolitan Memorial Chapel in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City at 5 p.m. today.

Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) head Adelino Sitoy, Arleigh’s father, said it was the dying wish of his son to have his body cremated.

Arliegh died at 1:44 p.m. on November 14 after he succumbed to a pulmonary embolism. Arleigh was 58 and would have turned 59 this December 8.

From his Cordova residence, Arleigh’s body was brought to the San Roque Parish for the 2p.m. funeral mass before it was finally transferred to the Cosmopolitan Memorial Chapel on Monday afternoon.

Cremation was done at about 5 p.m. with family member and close friends in attendance.

Adelino said they are yet to decide where to place the urn containing his son’s ashes.
