ALL IS set for the McDonald’s Stripes Run: Run for Reading in Cebu slated Dec. 3.

The starting line will be at the Garden Bloc of the Cebu IT Park in Cebu City.

The running event aims to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) flagship program dubbed Ronald McDonald Read to Learn.

A press conference was held yesterday at the McDonald’s Cebu IT Park branch. It was headed by McDonald’s Local Store Marketing Coordinator George Tongol, who is also the overall in-charge of the running event.

“This running event has grown since it started in 2010 in Manila, and we are very excited to bring this to Cebu,” Tongol said. “We are also happy to announce that around 300 kids have already benefited from the RMHC program.”

The running event will have four distances—1k, 3k, 5k and 10k.

Celebrities Alby Casiño and Arjo Atayde will be the special guests of the running event.

Registration can be done at all McDonald’s branches in Cebu.
