Melindo guns for KO versus Thai foe

MILAN Milendo of the ALA Boxing Gym is gunning for no less than a knockout when he faces Fahlan Sakkrareen for the IBF World Interim Junior Flyweight title in the main event of “Pinoy Pride 39: Road to Redemption” this Saturday night at the Cebu Coliseum.

“There will be a knockout because I trained hard for this fight and I will be fighting in front of my fellow Filipinos so there’s no excuses for me. I will win impressively,” said Melindo.

Melindo (34W-2L,12KOs) and the Thailander fighter Sakkrareen(34W-2L,12KOs) faced each other for the first time in a press conference held earlier at the Seaside Saloon of The Social.

ALA Promotions International CEO Michael Aldeguer graced the press briefing along with former WBA World Lightweight champion Jose Alfaro and Ghanian Raymond Commey.

Alfaro will fight Jason Pagara, while Commey will lock horns with Albert Pagara in the undercards.
