A 61-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead inside his car in Barangay Lawaan 1, Talisay City around 7 a.m. yesterday.

Manuel Canangcaan, a resident of Camella Homes in Lawaan, sustained a gunshot wound in the nape. He was brought to Talisay District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by attending physician.

PO1 Ramonito Dinampo of Talisay City Police Station said the victim was driving uphill on his way home after bringing his grandchild to an elementary school in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay, when two unidentified motorcycle-riding men drove by the victim’s vehicle, a silver grey Honda Civic with plate number YCR 598, and shot him. The vehicle moved backward and it only stopped when it hit a concrete wall of a house.

The police are still establishing the motive of the attack.
