THE PANTHERS and the Wolves forged a titular showdown in the 7th season of the Elite Basketball Club Cebu after pummeling respective opponents last Sunday night at the Visayan Glass Gym in Guadalupe, Cebu City.
Former Southwestern University Cobra Mark Panerio was the only player to score in double digits with 28 points to lead the defending champions Panthers past bitter rivals Falcons, 69-65.
Josephus Rusiana had 22 points but his solo dominant performance was not enough to carry his team over the Panthers.
In the other semifinals match, the Wolves took down the number two seed Seahawks in a collective effort, 97-81.
Five players chalked up double-figures for the Wolves led by Jax Bautista’s game-high 26 points. Backing him up were Jules Asignar with 19, Ivan Espina with 15, Carlo Datan with 12, and Johnrey Salapa with 10 points.
OJ Cimafranca spearheaded the Seahawks with 17 points.
