Upon the request of Congressman Raul Del Mar, the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) will be providing additional medical care to the patients of Guba District Hospital.
Del Mar together with Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña and doctors from VSMMC signed a Memorandum of Agreement on Friday morning at the Mayor’s office.
Under the agreement, doctors from VSMMC will visit Guba District Hospital and perform minor surgical operations and organize clinical meetings for the patients in the area.
“Patients in the area will no longer have travel over an hour from the mountain barangays to VSMMC as we will be going to them instead,” Aquino said.
VSMMC Chief Gerardo Aquino said that the partnership is part of their community outreach program.
