THE ASIAN TV Awards hopes to get Alden Richards back as host with Maine Mendoza in 2017.

After his successful hosting of the Asian TV Awards, side by side with stellar celebrities around the region, the Kapuso actor and host received another invite for next year’s awarding ceremonies.

Fans are hoping he will be hosting with Maine.

“Alden Richards, we love to have you next year! Do come back with your other half,” the Asian TV Awards posted on their official Facebook page with the hashtag #ALDUBforATA2017.

The post featured a short video of Alden thanking his fans and the organizers for the opportunity of hosting the Asian Television Awards.

“It was a great experience and it was fun. The organizers and the other international co-hosts were very supportive and there was a lot of love coming from the fans that night as well. It made the experience all the more rewarding,” he said.

Alden, the first Filipino to host the event, co-hosted the event with Adrian Pang, Stephanie Carrington and Baki Zainal. Comedian Michael V. of the hit GMA comedy show “Bubble Gang” was nominated for Best Comedy Performance as an Actor/Actress but lost to Carla Dunareanu of Singapore. Michael V was the lone nominee from the Philippines for the 21st Asian Television Awards.

The Asian TV Awards is an award giving body recognizing the excellence in programming, production and performance in the Asian region. The event was held at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center last December 2.

GMA News TV will have its delayed telecast of the 21st Asian TV Awards on December 11.
