Apas fire victims moved to school, DOST compound

CEBU CITY—Elderly, women, children and persons with disabilities who were affected by the fire in Barangay Apas, Cebu City would be moved to St. Francis Kindergarten.

The male fire victims, however, were asked to stay at the tents put up inside the compound of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

The fire victims had been staying inside the tents at the DOST compound after fire gobbled up their homes on Monday afternoon.

Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO) head Nagiel Bañacia said that children, seniors, women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) would be more comfortable at the St. Francis Kindergarten, which is just walking distance from DOST.

The pre-school has rooms with rest rooms and available water supply.
