A DAVAO-based construction firm won the bidding for the concreting and improvement of the second phase of the Dakit, Bogo City–Cayaan–Nipa, Tabogon Road Section in Bogo City.

In a resolution approved in last Monday’s session, the Provincial Board (PB) authorized Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III to hire Vicente T. Lao Construction to implement the P29 million project that would cover 2.21 kilometers.

The provincial Bids and Awards Committee chaired by Provincial Administrator Mark Tolentino said Lao Construction complied with their requirements and won the bidding held last September 28.

The firm was required to submit a performance bond within 10 days from receipt of the notice, either in cash or check.
The bond covers 10 percent of the contract price or a surety bond of at least 30 percent of the contract price.

PB member Jerome Christian Librando, who authored the resolution, said the date of the projected 125-day project had yet to be indicated by the governor’s office.
