Mano Amon Run slated Dec. 18

ONE OF THE longest running foot races in Cebu, the Halad Kang Mano Amon Run, is back for another edition on Dec. 18 in Danao City’s boardwalk.

The event annual race is held in honor of Danao City’s grand old man Ramon “Mano Amon” Durano Sr. It is now on its 38th year and will again have three distances, the 12-kilometer, 6k and 3k. Each distance will be divided into different categories.

The 12k race will have an open category for both the men and women while the 6k is will be for Danao City’s high school students and its residents. The 3k will be open to elementary students.

A total of P34,000 worth of cash prizes and medals are at stake in the race.
Registration is free. Registration can be done at the office of the City Administrator of Danao City and at the City Health complex. The first 400 runners to enlist can avail of a free singlet.
