FAME, like any other thing, fades.
That is why actor and host Alden Richards, who is now at the peak of his career, has been aggressive in investing his hard-earned money in the food business—opening two branches of Concha’s Garden Cafe in less than a year.
“Ako kasi I really believe in the unknown, ‘yung mga unfortunate events that’s yet to come. So, I really use the utilities and the things that I have in the most I can, in my advantage,” he said during an exclusive interview with GMA Network.com.
Alden opened his second branch of Concha’s Garden Cafe in Tomas Morato, Quezon City last December 9. The first branch is in Tagaytay.
GMA network executives and Kapuso celebrities were present during the blessing of his newest restaurant. Some of them include VP for Drama Redgie Magno and GMA Artist Center SAVP for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara.
His “Tween Hearts” co-stars Joyce Ching, Kristoffer Martin, Barbie Forteza, and “Eat
Bulaga” Dabarkads Ruby Rodriguez, Taki, Bae-by Baste and Aicelle Santos were also present.
According to Alden, getting into business is his way of preparing for any uncertainties in the future.
“You will never know what will happen in the future, so I really want to secure it, that’s why I am very aggressive when it comes to doing this, putting up businesses,” said Alden.
He told GMA Network.com that he ventured into food business, because food is something constant, like everyone’s need for clothing and gasoline.
“Everyone is always hungry. And constant sa mga tao is food, clothing and petroleum. So ‘yun ‘yung top three na nasa utak ko ngayon na I want to put up. So after this, hopefully pag nabawi ko si Concha’s Q.C., I’ll put a gas station after,” he said.
