TRUE to its commitment to support the government by addressing the lack of classrooms in public schools, SM Foundation Inc. will formally turn over a newly completed school building to Jugan Elementary School in Consolacion town, northern Cebu.
The ceremony will be held today.
The new two-story four-classroom school building is equipped with arm chairs, teacher’s desk sets, wall fans, blackboards, wall clocks and toilets.
“No words can express my gratitude to the SM Foundation for providing us a two-story four-classroom school building. I know it is hard to get donors for school buildings especially that thousands of schools need these,” said school principal Fe Baladjay.
“We won’t forget this precious gift that you shared to us. We will cherish this in our hearts wherever we go,” said Rhea Ann Sumaplong, president of the School Pupil Government.
The Jugan Elementary School in Consolacion, Cebu, is the 78th beneficiary of school building since the SM Foundation’s school building project started in 2002.
Early next year, the SM Foundation, together with Duty Free Group Limited, will also turn over another two-story four-classroom school building to Marcelo B. Fernan Elementary School in Polambato, Bogo City, northern Cebu.
