Two more municipal police chiefs in the province of Cebu were relieved from their posts and replaced by two police officers who happened to be married to each other.

Senior Supt. Eric Noble, director of the Cebu Provincial Police Office, replaced Chief Insp. Jaime Santillan and Senior Insp. Andres Alpas, chiefs of the Barili and Alcantara municipal police stations, respectively.

“They were not performing well. I need station commanders who are aggressive,” Noble said.

He appointed spouses Senior Inspectors Jose Angelo Acupinpin and Rosemarie Acupinpin as the new station commanders of Barili and Alcantara, respectively.

Noble said he will relieved other station commanders who are not performing well in their campaign against illegal drugs.

The CPPO director earlier replaced the four police stations chiefs on Camotes Islands for failure to address the illegal drugs problem in their respective areas.

“Kaysa ako pa ang ma- relieve, sila na ang uunahin ko. (Rather than me getting relieved from my post, It would be better to replaced police station chiefs who are not performing well),” Noble said.
