NO CLEANING TABLES
A boy and a girl swung by an upscale coffee shop inside a mall. After grabbing their orders, they decided to sit and chat for a while, but there was no vacant table.
After a few minutes, the boy finally spotted one, but it was unclean with empty coffee cups on it. “Let’s just call the security guard to clean it for us,” the girl said.
She then beckoned the guard standing at the door about eight tables away from them. “Please clean this table,” the girl said.
The guard, trying to be polite, then replied, “I’m guarding the door. I don’t clean tables.”
NO THANKS
After a fire was put out in northern Cebu, a newspaper reporter walked up to a house owner for information.
“How old are you?” the reporter asked.
The woman then replied. “I-news ko nimo? Ayaw lang, kay ma-artista unya ta (Are you going to write news about me? Don’t bother, I might become a celebrity).”
CONTENTMENT
Two friends were chatting about the gifts they wish to receive for Christmas.
“I want a great book from one of my favorite authors. And a shirt with the name of my favorite band on it too,” one of them gleefully shared.
The other friend just stared in space while listening then said, “Me? I want security, joy and contentment. Can you give that to me?”
