By: Chito O. Aragon January 22,2014 - 03:49 PM

A DEFECTIVE electric fan may have caused a fire that truck two apartment units in barangay Calamba, Cebu City.
The fire broke around 1 p.m. yesterday in Sun Valley Subdivision in V. Rama Avenue.

The apartment units are owned by Teddy Borillo.

An apartment owned by lawyer Ferdinand Pepito was also damaged, said arson investigator, SFO1 Lowel Opolentisima.
The fire was put out in nine minutes.

Fire damage was pegged at P100,000, said Opolentisima.

Opolentisima said the fire started at the room occupied by Diana Castro. The fire then spread to the apartment owned by the lawyer.
No one was hurt in the fire.

The subdivision’s wide roads helped firefighters contain the fire quickly, Opolentisima.
