VENDORS at the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) will be required to strictly wear identification cards (IDs) to ensure the safety of the passengers at the terminal.

The vendors are also required to wear uniforms, have a haircut, and possibly undergo a drug test.

Jonathan Tumulak, CSBT security management head, said yesterday that the uniforms, the haircut and possibly a drug test, would be required of the vendors when they would renew their IDs on Dec. 31.

“Once they would comply with the requirements, then we will renew their IDs allowing them to sell inside the terminal,” he said in Cebuano.

Tumulak said they were strictly enforcing this policy after the CSBT officials caught a water vendor, Ernesto Bondales, 40, allegedly selling suspected shabu at the terminal last Sunday afternoon./USJ-R Intern Jheysel Ann Tangaro
