The International Justice Mission is calling on everyone to help in apprehending convicted human traffickers Neopito Dizon, Annie Dizon and Jocelyn Cardona who remain at large.
In a press conference on Wednesday morning Atty. Samson Innocencio Jr., IJM National Director, said that the conviction is a big victory for Cebu as well as for the fight against human trafficking as it reiterates how serious they are in prosecuting human traffickers.
However, justice for the victims of human trafficking cannot be fully served if the convicted traffickers remain at large.
The Dizons and Cardona were convicted and sentenced to life in prison after they were found guilty of trafficking girls for prostitution in several known bars in Cebu City and harboring them in a house referred to as the “Greenhouse”.
“We will find these convicts. They are sentenced to life in prison,” he said.
The IJM has joined forces with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG 7) and the Philippine National Police in coordination with the provincial government through the Office of Vice Governor Agnes Magpale.
CIDG 7 Regional Chief PSSupt. Edgardo Cacayan said that they are asking for community vigilance and to report any information about the three convicted traffickers.
