A 53-year-old woman died on the spot after she was run over by a ten-wheeler delivery van of a mall in Colon Street corner Leon Kilat Street, Cebu City at around 4:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
The victim who was later identified as Dolores Midio, a resident of Panagdait, Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City, was wearing a violet blouse, black jeans, violet and white slippers and a violet sling bag.
According SPO2 Judito Dinglasa, the wing van was moving backwards and hit victim who was behind it.
The victim fell and was run over by the left rear tire of the wing van driven by Lendon Jayme Noles, 23, a resident of Sitio Lawis in Barangay Alaska Mambaling, Cebu City.
The victim body was sent to St. Francis Memorial Homes while Noles is currently detained at Fuente Police Station.
Dinglasa said further investigation will be conducted by the police and the Cebu City Transportation Office.
