NEW SONG, PLEASE

A street caroler approached two women queuing for a cab ride outside a mall. Upon hearing the first line of the Christmas song, one of the ladies disrupted him, saying, “Wa ka’y laing kanta diha, dong? Puol naman kaayo na nga kanta oy (Don’t you have any other songs? That’s way too played-out).” Seemingly unprepared, the kid just rolled his eyes at the ladies then walked away.

DIET TALK

Two friends were talking about their New Year’s resolutions while eating on Christmas Eve. “In 2017, I promise to go on a diet and start punishing myself at the gym,” one of them, a plump lady, said. But upon seeing the two more dishes of dessert that were brought to their table, the lady immediately pulled the dishes to her side and started devouring the sweet treats as if they were the last meal of her life.

DEATH OF A PRINCESS

As if this year’s unpleasant turn of events were not enough, Star Wars lead actress Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the series, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 60.

Netizens who are Star Wars fanatics took to Facebook and Twitter to express their disgust over the year 2016 for having the most number of unsettling events, especially in the entertainment and political scenes.

With barely two days left before the New Year, could 2016 get any worse?
