ELITE Cebuano smasher Kevin Bergantin is preparing for his stint in the upcoming All-Stars Open Badminton Championships 2017 slated Jan. 21 at the SM Seaside City Cebu.
The 22-year-old Bergantin will team up with Cebuana Hanna Tud-tud, formerly from the Far Eastern University (FEU), as they take on some of the country’s top guns in the sport.
The pair will see action in the mixed doubles competition.
Bergantin, a former Adamson University smasher, said he has been preparing for this tournament that offers cash prizes.
“I have been biking from Barangay Budlaan, to Tops (barangay Malubog, Busay, Cebu City) four times a week last month for my preparation and will be going thrice-a-week next week,” Bergantin told Cebu Daily News.
Aside from the mixed doubles category, there will also be a men’s singles action.
