EXPENSIVE RENT
Firecracker vendors stationed at the South Road Properties (SRP) complained that last year’s rent is the most expensive so far.
“We were surprised after the bidding that the rent was pegged at P6,000, but after we completed the requirements, we were told that it went up to P14,000,” one vendor said.
PATROL CAR
Some barangay tanods in Cebu City who are allied with the previous administration confessed to being envious with their rivals who are allied with the current administration.
When a patrol car of Barangay Pahina Central passed by, some barangay tanods murmured how lucky they were to receive one.
“May pa sila naay patrol car, ana siguro na kung kaalyado nimo ang administrasyon (Good for them that they have a patrol car. Perhaps that’s what happens when you’re allied with the administration),” a tanod said.
CHEAPER TICKETS
A moviegoer regrets that he watched three movies featured in the Metro Manila Film Festival in one of the biggest malls in Cebu City.
He said it was too late for him to know that the cinema in another mall offered a lower ticket price than the mall where he watched.
“I thought it was expensive there because it was upscale. Turned out it was cheaper,” he said
