The “Paintensity 2017” Sinulog dance party at the Greenery, in Barangay Kasambagan, was ordered stopped late last night after crowd control became a problem.
The throngs of party goers, however refused to leave the venue in hopes that the party will still resume.
The permit granted by Mayor Tomas Osmeña to June Joseph Thalia of Geenger Communications Inc., Paintensity organizer, allowed the party to be held from 4 PM to 12 MN of January 14.
The permit was granted on several conditions, among them that peace and order should be maintained and that traffic and pedestrian should not be obstructed.
Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) head Nagiel Bañacia told CDN said that the organizer will be held accountable “if something happens” in the party.
Mayor Tomas Osmeña posted on his Facebook page, “event ordered closed and crowd to be dispersed.” He said, “If the organizers can’t control their own party, there will be no party.”
As of 2 am, the crowds are already under control.
