Two call center agents were deep in conversation during lunch at a convenience store near their office when an American in his 50s walked up to them and tried to chat them up.
Despite his attempts to engage them in small talk, the two young ladies only nodded in response, appearing to be disinterested.
The old man then gave up and left, telling them, “God bless you. Keep being sad.”
GOOD FOR HER
Two ladies were waiting for the rain to stop at a waiting shed when a young woman and her boyfriend passed by them.
The first girl muttered how lucky the young woman was for having a boyfriend who brought an umbrella to protect her from the rain.
The other girl replied, “Maayo pa siya, naa na gani payong, naa pa gyud uyab. Ako wa gyud sa duha (Good for her, she has an umbrella and a boyfriend. I have neither).”
The silence between them was broken by the rain.
RODY TO BLAME
While Cagayan de Oro City residents were blaming the flashflood to the failure of their city government to fix the city’s drainage system, one netizen was blaming President Rodrigo Duterte for the calamity.
Why? his friends asked. “Kay tungod sa iyang kampanya batok sa druga, pati ang mga drainage system di na ganahan mosuyop (Because of his campaign against drugs, even the drainage system had lost interest sucking up the floodwater),” he replied.
