The stray dog that attacked at least 21 people in Barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City last Sunday was confirmed rabid.
Edna Seno of Mandaue City Health confirmed the findings of a laboratory in Tacloban City where they sent the preserved head of the dog for testing last Monday.

While the victims have already taken the first shot of anti-rabies vaccination last Monday, Seno urged them to make sure they get the complete shots because of the recent findings.
“Those who were bitten must really come back for the next three session of the vaccination. If they won’t be coming back, they run the risk of having the virus spread throughout their body which may cause death. The vaccine will help their bodies fight the virus,” said Seno.
