BOWLINGPLEX Tenpin Association (BTA) continues to showcase its dominance in the 18th BTA-Cebu Sinulog Open National Tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.
This after BTA’s Ed Aniñon climbed from 36th place to the first spot of the top 48 of the masters event qualifiers as of Wednesday, or after the first two days of competition.
Aniñon scored a total of 1,347 pinfalls coming from three events. He scored 481 in the singles, 445 in the doubles and 421 in the team event.
Luther Tapaya, who once led the rankings, is at second place with a total of 1,340 pinfalls. BTA-PRIMA junior bowler Aui Padawan is currently at third with 1,333 pinfalls.
Aniñon also earned the top spot in the top three senior bowler qualifiers based on the three events he joined. CETBA’s Makoto Osada is at second with 1,328 while Wilbert Yu is at third with 1,303.
Former Philippine Youth Team member Xyrra Cabusas, who represents BTA-PRIMA, still leads the female qualifiers with 1,293 pinfalls.
Tess Regino is at second with 1,262 while Emi Osada is at third with 1,213.
