NO Q AND A

A BROADCASTER with a wily sense of humor said unlike the Miss Universe pageant, local beauty pageants don’t usually require question-and-answer segments.

He said the audience only wants the most beautiful girl to win and the Q and A is only for show.

In that respect, the broadcaster’s favorite public official also shares his view.

This public official said he’s grown tired of watching the Miss Universe pageant and would rather watch local beauty contests that dispense with the Q and A, which he considered unnecessary.

PAGEANT GUIDANCE

Speaking of the Miss U, a netizen drew some mixed reactions with a post he took from his favorite whipping boy.

Said netizen posted, “Kung way bayot, way Miss Universe (If there are no gays, there won’t be any Miss Universe).”

While some took offense, including gays, others noted that Miss Universe candidates rely on the advice and guidance of gays to prepare themselves for the pageant.

THE SHOW GOES ON

The show goes on for this Capitol official who tried to make light of the cut he sustained during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

After receiving first aid, this official was offered scissors by one fellow official who grimaced on seeing him bleed profusely.

But a Capitol employee said the official preferred to use his own knife during ribbon-cutting ceremonies because he was used to it.
