KIDS AT THE HALL

Some residents voiced their concern on seeing a group of street kids sleeping at night outside a barangay hall in Cebu City.

These residents say these children are sometimes blocking the road, asking for alms from passersby. Why the barangay officials aren’t doing something about them, one can only speculate.

An elementary school boy asked his female guardian to buy him French fries in a fastfood chain along Gorordo Avenue, but the guardian refused to do so.

Instead, the guardian told the young boy to buy his fries using his own money. Seeing that he only had a few pesos, the boy got creative and asked money from his classmate, promising to share the fries with him.

His classmate agreed and together they bought the fries which they ate at lunch time.

Even if he wasn’t a traffic enforcer, a teenage boy helped a school boy cross the street going to school in Barangay Carreta.

The teenage boy didn’t ask for anything from the school boy who thanked him for his assistance. Seeing him helping the school boy, a teenage girl approached him and the two got into an animated conversation.

The school boy smiled at them as he headed to class, happy that he also helped the teenage boy meet a girl.
