Boodle fight held to honor 150 promoted Lapu-Lapu police officers

Lapu-Lapu City police officers celebrated the recent promotion of 150 of their colleagues with a boodle fight at lunch yesterday.

Senior Supt. Rommel Cabagnot, acting director of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO), said, he feels proud and honored to have this much policemen getting a promotion under his leadership.

“This means nga ang katawhan ato gyud mahatagan og maayong serbisyo kay ang atong kapolisan matinud-anon sa ilang pagka police ug naningkamot nga mo uswag (that our policemen are capable of giving quality service to the people because they are faithful in the performance of their duties to achieve the well deserved promotions),” said Cabagnot.

LLCPO has around 400 policemen assigned at the police headquarters and its six police stations.

Cabagnot organized Monday’s boodle fight at the Lapu-Lapu City police headquarters.

He said that the police are working to cleanse its ranks amid reports implicating some of them in illegal drugs and gambling.

But until these accusations would be proven, Cabagnot said, these policemen would be allowed to continue to report for work.
