The defending champion San Miguel Beermen made a return trip to the PBA Philippine Cup Finals after defeating the TNT KaTropa, 96-83, in the deciding Game 7 of their semifinal series Monday night at the Araneta Coliseum.
All of San Miguel’s starters scored in double figures led by three-time MVP June Mar Fajardo of Cebu, who finished with 22 points, 19 rebounds and four blocked shots.
Arwind Santos also had 22 points, Chris Ross added 18, Alex Cabagnot scored 14 while Marcio Lassiter chipped in 12 for the Beermen, who will be makingtheir 37th Finals appearance in the league.
Larry Fonacier had 14 points for the KaTropa, who played without main man Jayson Castro due to an injured hamstring.
